เนื้อเรื่องย่อ (Synopsis) :

The 20 episodes of "In the Realms of Joy" depicts a story between heaven and the human world. The light-hearted plot brings out several old and yet deeply-rooted concepts of the Chinese culture. Shen (God) of heaven Yuan Yun Lao Zu (the old one of fate and luck) who manages Jin He village has gotten angry because of not getting enough monetary respects from the villagers, and therefore forces them to pray to him day and night regardless of the hardships they have to face. His servant Hei Shi Ling Tong (Jimmy Wong) took pity on the people and tried to stop the master, but instead got kicked out of heaven and into the human world. His childhood playmate Bai Yu Shen Zi (Fiona Leung), saddened by the fact that Hei Shi Ling Tong was no longer around, received permission from Wu Wei Tai Jun to go into the human world and search for him.

So Hei Shi Ling Tong reincarnated into the family of a man who owns the paper money store. He became good friends with Muo Hsiao Fu (Canti Lau) and Qian Bu Huan (Frankie Lam), and at the same time all three of them had crushes on the adopted daughter (Yeung Mei Yee) of the temple master.

One day Bai Yu Shen Zi who was reborn into a girl named Yan Ru Bao came to the village with her mother to make a living by performing tricks. She meets Hei Shi Ling Tong and the two started off as enemies but eventually fell in love and regained their memories. They lead the villagers on a strike against Yuan Yun Lao Zu's repressive regime but they could only do so much in their mortal bodies.

So basically, if you want to see whether if they succeed in fighting against that one god, you should watch the series.
