เนื้อเรื่องย่อ (Synopsis) :
When Deric was a child, his father was a drug addict who overdosed. After his death, Deric made his best friends (Francis and Michael) swear to never deal or touch drugs. After they grew older, Francis dropped out of high school and Michael drifted away. Deric worked at an office to make ends meet while taking classes to complete his education.
Francis had a baby and wife to support but he couldn’t seem to hold a job down for long. He preferred to make money here and there by racing cars. When his wife got fed up with his irresponsibility, he decided to join the Coast Guard (or something like that) in order to have a steadier income. However, the contract he signed meant that he would have to be out to sea for two years. When he came back, he was devastated to find out that his wife took their baby and left him for another man. One day, Francis was so desperate to get his son back that he went to the park and tried to take him from his babysitter (Sheren Tang). She tried to stop him and in a struggle, Francis accidentally pushed Sheren down a flight of stairs and she hurt her leg. He felt really guilty about it and apologized. After Sheren learned Francis’s story, she sympathized with him and decided not to press charges…
